Description:
Our client is looking for 2 experienced Oracle Database Administrators with 6 years Oracle DBA experience using 9i and 10g, preferably in an AIX environment. Candidate must have a Bachelor_s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized university or equivalent work experience.
Responsibilities include working with application development teams to install and migrate releases, data fixes, scripting procedures, and administration of Oracle databases. The Oracle DBA will also be working with the application team to review SQL and PL/SQL. A strong AIX scripting knowledge with the ability to automate repeatable processes such as data pulls and loads is required. This position also requires knowledge of Oracle Gateway, Oracle Streaming, EMC Symmetrics, and Netbackup using RMAN and BCVs and which may include participation in quarterly disaster recovery testing.
Production 24/7 coverage and weekend implementations are required. The position is for up to 18 months for 35 hours per day. Some off hour shifts are required including afternoon through evening and some weekends.
Requirements:
Must have experience with the following:
- 6 years Oracle DBA experience preferably in an AIX environment
- Utilities StatsPack, Analyzer, and Reorg with Application design
- SQL and PL/SQL
- AIX shell scripting for automation of import/export, unload/load, cloning, and backups
- Data Objects Migration, Oracle cloning, and Transportable tablespaces
- RMAN and Netbackup using EMC BCV
- Oracle Gateway and Streams Experience working OEM tools
- Change, Configuration, and Tuning Management
