Description:
Our client is looking for a strong Java Developer to work on a project team responsible for the development of web based applications in support of various business groups. The Java Developer will work with other technical groups in application development, integration, support, and provide ongoing support for application stability and performance. Occasional evening support of releases may be required. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, candidate must have 5 or more years of java development experience as well as strong Core Java, J2EE, Servlets, Struts, Oracle, and WebLogic experience. Knowledge of Ajax, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Scripting, Ruby/Perl Scripting, and financial services experience is a plus, but not required.
This job is for a period of 3 months in Midtown Manhattan.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of java development experience
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Servlets, and Struts
- Experience with Oracle and WebLogic
- Object oriented analysis and design experience
- Experience with Ajax, Spring, Hibernate, JSF, Struts, Scripting, and Ruby/Perl Scripting is a plus
- Financial services experience also a plus
