Description:
This job is located in Jersey City and is for 6+ months.
Our client, a top-tier financial firm, is currently looking for a Business Analyst to interface with business sponsors/members and other technical groups to gather requirements on the many projects that the team is working on. This role involves partnering closely with Project Managers to coordinate UAT and rollout of any new applications or enhancements. The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the firm is critical. Looking for a motivated team player who thrives in fast-paced dynamic environments.
Job Responsibilities: - Mediation between the user community and the development team by communicating with each group using their preferred vocabularies.
- Responsible for defining process flows, assembling data dictionaries, & transferring business knowledge to the development team.
- Work closely with the Project Manager in defining overall solutions.
- Work across multiple project streams simultaneously.
- Define and own project specifications and requirements documents.
- Define test scenarios to ensure full coverage against project specifications.
- Manage UAT process, mediating between users and the development team.
- Managing the issue/features tracking database.
- Monitor solution quality and advise Project Manager on areas for process improvement.
- Assist Project Manager in evaluating tradeoffs between quality, features, and delivery schedules.
Requirements:
- Looking for someone with 2-5 years experience that can work effectively managing multiple diverse projects.
- This role requires a working knowledge on Fixed Income, Equities, and Operational Functions.
- Must be conversant in financial products, processes, and technologies.
