Description: We are seeking an Information Architect as part of the Usability and Design team to work alongside clients, Business Analysts and the Interaction Design team to collaborate in the development of web application navigation designs, page composition (wireframes) designs, and business process/work flows for our client projects. The ideal candidate will also be capable of performing expert reviews, facilitate user testing and participating in the Interface Design process. Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must, along with solid visual presentation skills. Will be required to participate in the creation of site maps, wireframes, workflow diagrams, controlled vocabularies, labeling systems, nomenclature schemes, taxonomies and navigation structures. Must be capable of facilitating user testing, expert reviews and heuristic evaluations on client applications to gather user interface requirements. Will be required to meet with clients and be onsite to participate in information gathering and user testing sessions. The Information Architect/User Interaction Analyst will be responsible for understanding the user, test the usability of features and conceptual designs. The candidate will create user task and interaction flows, screen designs (wireframes), user-interface interaction details organized into user interface specifications. Should have practical experience employing user centered design methods. Keep abreast of best practices for usability techniques and methodologies. Requirements:
- At least 5 years of solid industry experience designing GUI-s for websites and web applications, at least 3 of which have been dedicated directly to an Information Architecture role, with demonstrated track record of appropriate deliverables (controlled vocabularies, nomenclature schemes, taxonomies, etc.)
- Must possess a solid working experience with appropriate design tools including Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, etc., as they related to documenting architectures, navigation schemes, taxonomies, etc.
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills working within cross-functional teams a must.
- Advanced degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, or other related discipline a plus.
- Portfolio required.
- Be willing to travel to client sites.
